Consultant to South32 Hermosa Project, Patagonia, AZ, January 2023Advised Owner’s Team on project optimization, value improvement and execution strategies for a US$2+ billion silver/lead/zinc underground greenfield project. This is South32’s first new project, and critical to establishing their presence in North America. Asked by Owner to return to the project after my retirement from Fluor in January.

International senior management experience, P&L responsibility for projects to US$1.2 billion. •Senior Management level responsibility for project development, engineering and construction. •Senior Operations management experience in underground and open pit mines, and mills. •Responsible for projects from pre-feasibility through operations in a variety of industrial minerals, precious, and base metals projects. •Successfully undertaken open pit and large process plants, underground development, and shaft sinking projects to completion. •Team builder with a focus on budget and schedule to meet project delivery in compliance with all HSEC objectives and standards. • Experience with retrofits in operating plants, new plant design and construction management to $5.5 billion. •Substantial on-site, day to day construction management experience of projects in remote fly-in and high altitude (5,000m) environments.
