My most recent role was as the Resource Planning and Performance Management Manager for the Orange Region (Orange County, Ca.. My responsibilities included providing oversight and direction to the Resource Planning process in the Orange Region. I also provided management and direction to the work distribution process throughout the Region. Working closely with the District Managers, the Regional Construction Manager and our source contractor, we distributed work with an appropriate balance between the S.C.E. and Contractor crews.In addition to managing the resources within the Region, I had the responsibility to develop a Performance Management program within the Region. This includes credible performance measurement along with establishing tools that will allow the Regional Management team to proactively manage the performance of their work groups.I also had the responsibility for the successful completion of all commodity construction within the Orange Region. We have been focused on Wildfire Mitigation efforts throughout the service territory. We have inspected all distribution structures in high fire areas within Orange County and are completing appropriate repairs. I led the Regional Grid Team effort within the Orange Region. The Regional Grid Team coordinates all S.C.E. teams and issues on the grid in Orange County.

As the District Manager of the Santa Ana District I had the responsibility for all of the Distribution Design and Construction / Maintenance activities within the District boundaries. I managed a staff of seven Supervisors and an overall organization of approximately 75 employees. The Regional PM Crew and the Regional Single Conductor crew also reported to me in Santa Ana.As the District Manager I was responsible to ensure a safe and productive work environment. I had the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the Distribution system throughout the Santa Ana District service area. Measured areas of performance include Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Reliability, and Cost Targets.In addition to my responsibilities as the District Manager, I had a lead role in several Regional responsibilities. I helped to initiate a Long Range Planning process which has evolved in to the Orange Region Regional Grid Team.

Irvine, California

As the Regional Planning Manager for the Orange Region (Southeastern Division) I had the responsibility of managing a 50 person organization.The Orange Region covers the entire Orange County area along with a small portion of Los Angeles County (in the Whittier/La Habra area of the Fullerton District). During the time that I was the Regional Planning Manager the Region also had responsibility for the Planning activities on Catalina Island. I had the responsibility for providing leadership, direction, and development of the employees at four separate Work Locations. The Regional Planning organization was responsible for the design of most Distribution Design projects. I managed a staff of five Supervisors throughout the Region. I had the responsibility to not only develop an effective and efficient team, but also to meet our customer’s needs for service and to manage the work processes to ensure that our customer’s expectations will be exceeded.During the time that I served as the Regional Planning Manager for the Orange Region, I developed a measurement tool to measure the productivity of the Service Planners. That tool, the Planner Productivity Report, is still used as a performance measurement for the Planning organization.

I had the responsibility to oversee the Organizational Change Management impacts of a new Work Management System in Distribution. I had responsibility for writing various Policies and Procedures associated with WMS as well as the Maintenance and Inspection program, notably the underground inspection and Field Repair procedures.
