CurrentThe Administrator manages the day-to-day business affairs of the Manitoba Health Appeal Board (the Board) including budget preparation, expenditure control, purchasing and management of staff. The Administrator develops and maintains efficient and effective office and appeal processes and responds to non-routine inquiries from the public, appeal parties and other stakeholders. The Administrator organizes and attends all Board meetings and hearings and assists the Board as required. The Administrator is responsible for preparing the Boards annual report and submitting the report to the Minster responsible. The Administrator provides mediation services to parties involved in Home Care appeals. The Administrator recommends and develops policy as appropriate for the Board and Manitoba Health and makes recommendations with respect to Manitoba Health's legislation in relation to Board matters. The Administrator is the designated access officer for all requests in relation to Board records made through the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The Administrator works in conjunction with the Chairperson of the Board and, on human resource and financial matters, with the Manager of Department Services with Manitoba Health.
