During my JCPenney Career, served in over 10 different locations, two countries, over 36 year career, serving as various merchandise level positions, Personnel Manager, District Personnel Manager for Atlanta, Ga., District Mens Business Planning Manager, District Womens Business Planning Manager(Atlanta, Ga., and San Juan, P.R.) and Assistant Manager(Central Store) JCPenney, San Juan P.R., JCPenney largest operation in the world.I have since served as a local community volunteer as President Chamber of Commerce, Board member Kentucky Retail Federation, Salvation Army, President Kiwanis and business consultant for the Bluegrass area of Kentucky. Also lost the love of my life, my wife, in September 2005 to Breast Cancer, who passed away and left me with wonderful children, Will, age 3 and Robert age 13 at the time of her passing.I retired in 2008 after 36 years to devote my time to my children after my wife passed.I am Proud of my children who I raised, Proud Father of Robert K. Sandlin Jr., my son who earned "3" time All American in Track and Field at the NCAA National Track and Field Championships representing "Bellarmine University" and "University of Kentucky" who was Nationally ranked in Cross Country and Track and Field, ranked as high as 3rd in the United States throughout a terrific running career as three time State Champion, three time All-American, Great Lakes Valley Champion & Scholar "Athlete of the Year", "Athlete of the Decade" Bellarmine University, Academic All American, GLVC Council of Presidents Winner, Finalist in the USA Track and Field Indoor National Championships 2014 in Albuquerque, N.M., Participant in the "Meyo Mile" at the University of Notre Dame(2014), most elite college mile race in the nation finishing sixth with a 4:01.20 mile finish, Winner "Penn State 5 K Championship" and NCAA Track and Field Championships finalist (multiple times)and now graduated from the University of Kentucky Graduate Degree as DPT, Doctor Physical Therapy. Proud of my Son Will, finishing his Medical Degree as a Respiratory Therapist, who has overcome so many challenges in life no child should have to endure and my beautiful Daughter, a fundraiser for Children's Hospitals in the Seattle, Wa. area, worlds best mother and blessed me with beautiful Grandkids!My kids are the thing I am most proud of in my life!
