I have had a career in Telecommunications. which has involved a variety of electromechanical, electronic and optical equipment types.During my career, I have installed, commissioned and maintained a variety of analogue speech and digital data systems. This has also included, where appropriate, installation and commissioning of onsite DC power supplies. Working alone or in small/large teams as a team member or team leader.My work experience has also included working alongside software developers providing an interface to the software support teams. I am always happy to embrace new technology as that is the essence of telecommunications in my experience.Always with full consideration for health and safety and with the confidence that I can attain new skills.I Have:Worked on the CONNECT project with THALES to install, test and commission an Telecoms Network to provide LUL with the necessary comms to enable the Tetra (Police/Fire service radio system) to successfully work all over the LU - London Underground network. During the period 2011-2012 I assisted and provided onsite technical and maintenance cover during the Olympics and ParaOlympics Events. Setting up extra maintenance rotas and providing onsite taskforce teams to minimise and service impact during the events.While working with BT I successfully worked to deploy several Directory software updates to negate any impact from the millennium coding issue.
