Working for an established Pet food/accessories retail business with 19 physical sites and Web sales, I report directly to the Commercial Director and head up the team that control stock. Utilising a number of different systems and software programs, I use data analysis to develop and agree plans/ranges in partnership with Buyers to achieve sales/profit targets. This includes implementing agreed departmental strategies, preparing and forecasting budgets and stock levels for the entire estate to hit and exceed stock, sales and profit targets. Working with Buyers to create critical paths for development/delivery of product ranges and promotions, monitoring performance against plan via sales/stock analysis, taking action to maximise sales/profit whilst reduce stockholding and increasing stock turn. Developing planograms/Store Ranging based on analysing sales data and forecasting to budgets. Manage the intake of Domestic and Imported stock (from over 40 different suppliers, including known/established brands as well as wholesalers) in line with agreed stock levels/budgets, utilising 'Open To Buy' with phased commitments to increase flexibility - this includes working within a WSSI.

Working for an expanding global company with an established presence in both Australia and the Far East, I am responsible for overseeing the field-based UK wide team of Merchandisers, who support our customers in the stores that sell our product.The role includes developing objectives, monitoring performance, training and ongoing coaching of the team of merchandisers to perform the below.Maintenance of existing product/displays, support of range review activity, merchandising of new/conversion stores, liaising with the store team/leadership to provide regular feedback and ideas on how to increase sales.

Field Based (North)

Working directly for Category Managers as part of a field based team of three, I support over eighty stores across the UK and Ireland, driving sales and profit by coordinating between the Store Support Centre and stores. The role includes;- Enhancing demographic/geographic ranging- Helping to manage implementation of range reviews and new products - Increasing stock availability and monitoring replenishment levels- Ensuring pricing and promotions are competitive- Providing operational support/feedback to Stores, Suppliers, and the Store Support Centre.

Working as part of a team to maximize sales and profit on a large multi-channel product range with several different fulfillment methods. Responsibilities include sales and stock analysis/reporting, forecasting (including promotional forecasting), stock management throughout the UK, relationship building with suppliers and partner businesses.Direct managerial responsibilities for several colleagues, focusing on development and coaching.

Working within a small team to improve the areas profitability by increasing stock turn and improving the sourcing strategy. Analysing promotional opportunities and implementing successful strategies. Management of suppliers, including through range changes.
