Systems in Sport is a strength and conditioning coach education business. We have 3 principle-derived frameworks for Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) to scaffold students' knowledge and enable them to deliver the best programme possible to their athletes.

Senior Strength & Conditioning

Bath

I co-managed a department of S&C coaches at the University of Bath. This involved line management of staff and ensuring continued professional development within the department. Externally, I was required to co-ordinate S&C services within the larger Sports Science and Medicine team working with senior management to deliver the University’s strategic sporting objectives. I led on coach development within the department, which involves both CPD for our employed coaches and also UKSCA Accreditation mentorship for junior coaches and interns. Additional roles involved development of applied sports science links with the University’s School for Health, specifically in the field of Growth and Maturation. Athletic development of adolescent athletes and creating a strong link between academic and applied departments are both key strategic objectives for the University.

Head Of Sports Science And Medicine

2009 - Sep 2012

Strength And Conditioning Coach

Loughborough, Leicestershire

I work as a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach servicing the student athlete population. Sep 2007 - Sep 2012

Strength And Conditioning Coach

LSUMHC represent the University in the English Premier League and are current British University (BUCS) champions . In addition to the BUCS Premier League the womens' squad play in National League North. Both clubs support a number of junior international and international athletes. I provide year-round support to each squad in the gym as well as on the pitch. While the aims and objective of the programmes differ the main goal of both programmes are grounded in creating a robust athlete who can excel in an in-season schedule that requires them to play two games per week, train as a full-time athlete whilst striving towards senior international selection.
