Responsible for starting and operating Laredo Construction, Inc. from its inception to the present time. Projects have included installations and salvages of numerous large and small platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, Nigeria, and the Bahamas. Complete refurbishment of Vopak/Borco offshore transfer and oil storage facility in Freeport, Bahamas. Responsible for managing the salvage of numerous structural components destroyed by hurricanes that were setting on bottom. Coordinated and managed the installation and tie-in of new jetty including multiple piles, decks, and breasting dolphins, 20+ bridges, multiple stairways, loading arms, electrical systems, sacrificial anode systems, piping, and pipeline risers.

Gulf Of Mexico

Directly responsible for the overall supervision of Offshore Department including contracts, field operational personnel, staff, equipment, and subcontractors. At peak period during those two years, ETPM had as many as five pieces of floating equipment (three combination Derrick-Lay Barges, One Derrick Barge and one Jet Barge).

North Sea

As part of the four-man U.S management team providing all support for the operations of the Ocean Builder I in the North Sea, Trinidad, and its initial move to the U.S. Gulf areas , responsibility varied from coordinating logistics and contract maintenance to the sales promotion and setting up a new U.S entity. (Barge ultimately sold to Brown & Root).

North Sea/Brazi/Africa/Middle East

Occidental Piper “A” platform installation. Overall supervision of field operations staff in scheduling and coordinating the installation work, equipment and subcontractors during the offshore construction phases of Piper “A” installation. This installation included utilization of prototype self-contained piling equipment and semi-submersible construction barges. At peak periods of 650 personnel including staff and hourly personnel were based on as many as three pieces of offshore equipment.
