As a general manager I am responsible for my business as a whole, making sure my sales and profit numbers are in line as well as ensuring my people and customers are happy (which I feel is just as if not more important because without happy employees and customers I would not have sales or profit). I run floor operations during peak both in store as well as catering/deliveries. I train and develop my staff to execute operations at the high level my customers have grown accustom to. I open job postings online and interview potential job candidates as well as hire, train, coach, and develop people into great associates and help them continue to learn and grow with the company. I write schedules, place orders, conduct inventory counts twice monthly, and pretty much anything else that I am asked to do during the course of a day.
