Racing Background: Bob Tasca III began his racing career at 16 after training at Roy Hill’s driving school and earned licenses in four NHRA classes. Tasca ventured into professional racing in 2006 by building and competing in a Top Alcohol Funny Car. He set a world record in March 2007 with the fastest-ever pass in Alcohol Funny Car history, clocking a time of 5.451 seconds at 263 MPH. Advancing to the Nitro Funny Car class in 2008, Tasca achieved his quickest elapsed time (ET) of 3.822 seconds at the 2023 NHRA FallNationals in Texas. On February 9, 2024, he made history as the first drag racer to surpass 340 MPH, achieving a speed of 341.68 MPH at the PRO Superstar Shootout in Bradenton, Florida becoming the fastest drag racer on the planet.Currently, Tasca owns and races the Ford Performance/PPG/Motorcraft/Quick Lane nitro Mustang Dark Horse Funny Car. Throughout his illustrious career, he has competed in 39 final rounds and secured 18 victories at NHRA National events.
