This sensitive and challenging role involves the investigation of offences and the strategic management of resources, often under considerable time and budgetary pressure. I am tasked with a wide range of investigations into volume crime including theft, burglary, assaults and domestic incidents. This work demands the highest standards of evidence gathering to support investigations and to secure compliance with all legal requirements to obtain subsequent convictions.My role includes conducting interviews with victims, suspects and witnesses, going on to compile detailed, often complex, statements. I manage the seizure of exhibits and obtain search warrants and frequently give evidence at Crown and Coroners’ courts. I work in successful liaison with a broad range of partners and organisations ensuring optimum service to support community needs. A particularly challenging role during this time was my assignment to a complex historic child abuse investigation. Working within a small operational team, through commitment and determination, we went on to secure a successful conviction. I received a commendation for my contribution to this demanding investigation. Most recently I have been tasked as an investigative coach, working with uniformed police officers to develop their investigative expertise through the application of specialist strategies and crime investigation protocols. In addition, I have delivered group training sessions on the management of volume crime investigation.

I have served, in all ranks to Inspector, on a part time basis. Roles undertaken include: Roads Policing Unit I am currently tasked within this specialist unit, responding to all levels of road traffic collisions. I am a reporting officer for minor injury and damage only accidents and actively assist within the most serious incidents, including initial investigation, taking statements, completing Accident Report Books and preparing and submitting summons.I deal with all types of vehicle and driving offences carrying out relevant checks on offenders and victims, investigating potential offences and respond to targeted patrol team requests in a variety of policing situations.General Policing - TandridgeI worked in a range of roles including response to ‘real time’ incidents bringing a considered approach to the support of victims of crime and assistance in the management incidents and crime scenes. I demonstrated the ability to understand and manage the effect on the community and to ensure reassurance and support were available. I also worked within a safer neighbourhood team, interacting closely with the community addressing areas of greatest concern, building strong relationships with a diverse number of groups and representatives. This included developing connections throughout local areas to build confidence and trust, and to ensure best service delivery. I performed various tasks from the management of anti-social behaviour through to crime prevention initiatives and the delivery of warrants

This company operated a national van sales service delivering goods to local retail outlets. As the area manager, I oversaw the day to day running my geographical area including recruitment, training and discipline issues. I was responsible for the management of stock and cash control, reporting directly to the company sales director.
