The MERPS-2 infrastructure project is the implementation of multiple manufacturing sites onto the GSK global MERPS validated SAP system. The project calls for enhancements to the MERPS infrastructure and disaster recovery site and procedures in order to reduce disaster recovery time from 12 to 3 hours. The responsibilities include the planning, execution, budgeting and controlling of all project deliverables. In addition, conduct team meetings and brief senior management on project status, issues and required approvals.

Project managed for a large, complex automation COTS/GOTS implementation project. Using PMI and IEEE standard methodologies established and conducted project initiating, planning and tracking of SDLC. Established, requested and controlled $65M program budget. Developed, and staffed RFP. Assisted with planning and execution of product, system review and procurement process. Communicated and coordinated formal approvals for project and program deliverables for both internal and external department reviews.

Senior Project Planner and AIX Stream Lead, GSK, RTP, NC. AIX stream lead for GSK’s Global Manufacturing SAP ERP Infrastructure Implementation. Responsible for the set-up, COTS (VERITAS Netbackup, TWS, UniQ), validation, and turnover of 14 AIX ERP application servers (IBM P-Series 660s) and 9 disaster recovery servers. Tracked and resolved incident reports, maintained project plans and budget (22M), and resolved issues with business partners, QA representative and senior management.

Lieutenant Colonel Weimann brings 23-years of active duty Marine Corps leadership.Bob’s active duty started in 1974 at Quantico and continued as a Weapons and Rifle Platoon Leader with 1st Battalion (Bn), 4th Marine Regiment. Bob also participated in the Evacuation of Viet Nam and other contingence operations. Bob then reported into 1st Bn, 1st Marines and served as the 106 Recoilless Rifle Platoon Leader, a Rifle and H&S Company Executive Officer, and Commanding Officer of H&S Company, 1st Bn, 1st Marines.Bob’s next assignment was Operations Officer and, upon promotion to Captain, Executive Officer of Marine Corps Recruiting Station, Albany NY. Bob served as a Platoon Leader at Officer Candidate School before attending USMC Amphibious Warfare School (AWS), Quantico Va. While at AWS, Bob was introduced to the theories of USAF Colonel John Boyd and has since remained an active advocate of the “Boyd Doctrine.”After AWS, Bob reported into 1st Marines and served as a Regimental S4, and then Commanding Officer of Kilo Company and Weapons Company, 3rd Bn, 1st Marines. Bob then was assigned as the Operations Officer for the USMC Western Recruiting Region, at MCRD San Diego.As the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Security Force Keflavik, Iceland, Bob participated in the security planning and operations for the Reagan and Gorbachev Reykjavik Summit. After USMC Command and Staff College, his assignments took him to 1st BN, 6th Marines (1/6) as the Operations and then Executive Officer. While with 1/6, Bob participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Bob was then assigned as a Joint Forces Strategic Planner and Joint Operations and Planning System (JOPES) Officer at USTRANSCOM conducting major regional contingency planning, analysis, and operations. Bob would then move to the 2nd MEF, G-5, Force Deployment Officer where he also participate in JTF-160 Refugee Operations, Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay.
