CurrentSince 1979 when Bob established his first business in offshore oil & gas he has had a serial passion for the energy sector. In 1984 he founded Jameson Group to offer consulting and advisory practices highlighted by Canada's first offshore oil & gas project- Sable Offshore Energy Project. The passion continued in 2005 when he founded Canada's Renewable Energy Conference now branded Smart Energy. His initiative has also driven him to help thousands of young entrepreneurs, initially within the energy sector, develop their ideas and introduce them to partners and investors across north America. Recently Bob’s passion has been focused on helping Canada move-the-needle sooner than later on a low-carbon energy transition. One that strives for a silo-free energy sector. In doing so he’s energized to be helping some of Canada’s most respected smart energy organizations develop strategic & collaborative partnerships- critical to building 2030 and 2050 net-zero economies. In his spare time Bob continues to help mentees with investment, business development and networking options to further their goals. He and his wife Judy (Lugar) and dogs live in the Head of St. Margarets Bay, outside Halifax, where they enjoy family activities including daily hiking, sailing & boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and helping enthusiastic smart energy initiatives.
