The prior 2 IT employees on-site at Harriman had been recently released leaving no local support or cross-training available. Basically, I was dropped cold into an unknown environment and had to adapt quickly. In addition, I was asked to assist with implementing SAP and MES at Harriman during the time period. Adaptive - Dropped cold into AM plant with no prior knowledge of systems. I assumed sole IT support for hardware and software with major issues and pending SAP upgrade. Converted plant within one-year period in conjunction with the Laplace LA facility.IT Support - Provided desktop, network, server, printer, and telephony support, including upgrades for approximately 300 devices and 120 employees.SAP/MES - Transitioned Harriman from proprietary software to SAP with MES tracking for entire facility of 120 employees. Project included personally installing and configuring new PCs and printers. Printers in production areas included laser in specialized cabinets, Zebra thermal printers for tags, and label printers for Storeroom barcoding. Network - Coordinated total revamp of the fiber network to all areas. Included all new Cisco equipment with redundancy, installation of 25 switches/routers, and 17 wireless APs for production and shipping.Training Center – Set up Training Center/War Room and installed and configured 10 PCs, network, and printer in on-site building for SAP and MES implementation training for all personnel.
