Investigative toxicologist with 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience within nonclinical safety assessment with roles of increasing levels of responsibility and expertise in mRNA and miRNA expression. Currently leading a team responsible for investigative toxicology study delivery to inform human risk assessment supporting projects that have encountered safety issues throughout all stages of development, from discovery through post-marketing, to deliver safer medicines to patients using molecular techniques including gene and protein expression, high content imaging, 2D+ cell culture systems. Deep expertise in target liability assessments which aid in understanding of biological or toxicological mechanisms of action related to projects early in discovery to inform on potential safety issues when selecting new targets. Many years of experience, and currently enjoy, serving as nonclinical safety project team member, responsible for design, execution, and interpretation of entire toxicology study packages. In this role, I present safety data to internal governance boards and draft regulatory documents for health authorities. I have consistently served as a Health and Wellness Champion because I strongly believe that with appropriate self-care, everyone wins.
