Responsible for appraisal management and quality control of high volume commercial appraisal division for Washington Mutual Bank. Appraisal manager with oversight of production appraisal staff and the approved fee panel. Duties included assigning, monitoring and reviewing appraisal reports and asset classification reviews. Geographically, the region stretched from Los Angeles County through San Luis Obispo County; In addition, my division was also responsible for appraisal assignments for commercial lending activity in the state of Florida and portions of Texas. Appraisal services were provided for all commercial property types (multi-family residential, commercial and industrial uses). My region served the Multi-Family Lending Group, Construction Lending Group (acquisition and development, and subdivision appraisals), Community Lending with emphasis on restricted income projects with government subsidies, tax credits and bond financing. Other volume was generated by the REO Group, FNMA DUS, Conduit and Portfolio Management for purposes of new loans, foreclosure, loan modifications, workouts, assumptions and monitoring/updating of the loan portfolio.
