Information SystemsAir Force Recruiting Service 1984 - 1989Lead a team through the requirements collection, definition and build out of PROMIS II the DOD system supported and maintained by the Air Force for the acquisition and procurement of young men and women into the armed services. PROMIS - Procurement Management Information System we developed and based on the airline industry system called SABER that makes airline reservations. This was multiyear project that came in on time and under budget. We also achieved "no end user requested system changes for over 12 months" as we pioneered a new method of application development at the time where we spent approximately 80% of our time in requirements developments and design and then 20% of our time in coding. This in turn generated a very stable product solution for the Armed Services and the USAF.

Executive Officer To The Commander & White House Social Aide To The President89Th Military Airlift Wing 1977 - 1979While at Andrews AFB, MD, I served as the executive officer to the commander of the 89th MAW and was fortunate enough to be selected my last eight or nine months while at Andrews AFB to interview for and be selected as a White House Social Aide to the President. This was under the Carter administration. During my collateral duty at the White House, I was again fortunate to be selected for duty as the personal escort to the First Lady for about four to five months of my tour at the White House. This was a very challenging and exciting opportunity to see how our government works - up close and personal.

I spent two years at Pope AFB, NC as a squadron administrative officer and flilght line safety officer; then off to Oson AFB, Korea for about 13 months where I was the both the Division & Group Headquarters Squadron Commander responsible for the lives and well being of about 1300 Air force men and women; and then it was off to Rimini, Italy for two years, where I was the headquarters squadron commander as well as an Operations Duty Officer working command and control of US national assets. It was after these three assignments that the rest of my Air Force career picks up above in my other positions and duties to my country.
