The Lyreco Group are a €2bn+ global organisation specialised in the B2B supply of Office Stationery and Paper products into the contract stationery market.The group market development team is responsible for the creation and implementation of various new revenue streams across the Lyreco group.The team was formed in April of 2011 and was based upon the advice given in the previous role. The structure is designed to drive top-down and bottom-up innovation and consists of 3 central position and 7 subsidiary positions in a matrix structure.During 2011 the innovation process was introduced to ensure correct communication, quality and decision making. It basically follows 3 steps, from concept/idea proposal, market analysis and organisational impact and the business plan being the last step. Each step is reported to the innovation committee a committee lead by the market development director and consists of a majority of the Lyreco board.- To deliver new revenue streams that strengthens the existing proposition- The management of market development, by setting up a local and central market development structure (10 positions in 7 countries) and processes.- Project Management, the implementation of several tactical and strategic international projects. - Market and trend analysis, continuous study to find new potential revenue streams and identifying and answering new market trends.- International team management, coaching and guidance of 9 people with 7 different nationalities in newly created positions and structure.

This newly designed temporarily role, reporting into the CEO, was targeted to deliver an advice in the field of new products, services and the organisation of innovation for the Lyreco group. The scope was wide open: to identify what can be improved, gathering,without boundaries, of ideas and after thorough analysis translating this into opportunities for Lyreco.At the end of 2010 the final advice was given which resulted in several strategic and tactical projects and the set-up of a new department: Group Market Development.

A common pricing, the launch of 1 catalogue (instead of 3), supplier management, datamanagement (3-to-1 erp system) and proper customer communications were the main objectives for a succesfull integration.
