Plan and coordinate advisory program, oversee Relationship Mapping protocols pre-k-12, co-lead Community Leadership Corps program, develop and oversee high-school community events.

Courses taught across three departments include: Global History, Non-Western World, United States History, Psychology/AP Psychology, 9th Grade DEI Seminar, “Play, Passion, Purpose: An Introduction to Design Thinking,” Neuroscience, Middle School Health & Wellness (Brain & Body).

Collaborated with school leadership and faculty/staff to support students’ academic and social-emotional wellbeing. Developed and implemented specific Health Education and SEL programming across divisions. Worked closely with DEI and Support Services to create a school culture of engagement, balance and joy.

Coached Men’s Baseball and Women’s Basketball to league championships as well as appearances in Maryland State Baseball Semifinals and DCSS basketball championship game.

Shepherded 500 students per year as they navigated the academic and social challenges of the GDS High School. Developed relationships with students, parents, and families in order to facilitate a sense of mutual commitment and partnership. Oversaw advisory and student support programs. Hosted regular parent coffees and evening events.

Advised 11th and 12th grade students and families throughout the college process. Attended conferences, workshops, and college institutes. Wrote letters of recommendation, developed balanced college lists, and conducted mock interviews for seniors.

Served as co-dean for grades 9-12. Developed grade-specific and school-wide events, monitored students’ academic progress and social-emotional well-being, and cultivated a culture of joyful learning and community engagement. Hosted 9th-grade lock-in and 12th-grade off-campus overnights.

Present annually at GDS Summit and GDS Summer Policy Institute and at local independent schools on the neurobiology of trauma. This past year coordinated two-day parent program for GDS Summit.

Developed and continue to co-lead peer leadership programming to support 9th graders during orientation and at various points during their first year at the High School. Peer leaders also mentor lower- and middle-school students as they transition across divisions.

Co-founded and coordinated year-round service-learning program that included leading GDS students on summer trips to rural and urban areas of Ethiopia and Kenya. Developed and sustained partnerships with several NGOs here in the US and in East Africa.

Developed and oversaw an immersive summer bridge program for a small groups of students coming from outside the GDS community. Cohorts met throughout their ninth-grade year and their GDS experience.
