I’m passionate about electronic product design including power supply design, audio amplifier design, and mixed signal design. I enjoy working on teams with other passionate engineers. Most recently, I’ve been interested in the area of EV power: on-board charging, accessory power converters, and infrastructure chargers. I see this as a perfect combination of my past experience designing offline switching power supplies and my most recent experience in automotive. I am currently researching these topics, learning about the latest semiconductor offerings from suppliers, and simulating power stage concepts. For the past several years, I’ve been lead electrical engineer on multichannel automotive audio amplifier projects used in award winning premium audio systems for some of the largest carmakers in the world. As a part of this, I have gained experience interfacing with automotive customers and leading a team of engineers. Previously, I designed musical instrument amplifiers and power amplifier modules used in professional audio products. Analog and digital hardware design. Isolated and non-isolated power conversion including LLC resonant, flyback, boost, and buck switching converter design. High power class D amplifier design. Automotive networking including CAN, A2B, and MOST. Experienced with EMI/EMC compliance. Experienced in spice circuit simulation. Experienced in vacuum tube circuit design.
