 Defined the process to collect and manage all of the servers, storage, backups and network connections at the Hamilton Data Center. Responsible for the documentation and of the cable connectivity matrix for 900+ servers, 24 storage cabinets and over 10,000+ connections which was the source of truth for the entire migration. Created the plan of all cable connections source and destination for pre and post migration.  Evaluated and assessed the Hamilton and Alpharetta, GA data centers to manage the risks and constraints of each facility to define the move procedures. This assessment included the evaluation of all the doors and elevator height, weight thresholds, loading docks ramp/grade, equipment move route, rack conditions and move ability. Partnered with vendors to create quotes for certification and move requirements Active Team Leader who worked closely with GE Sponsor, Application Owners and Project Managers to successful complete each migration based on the shutdown, startup and test plans defined for each move. Performed multiple audits the Hamilton Data Center to validate the Server, racks, storage and connections to ensure accuracy of server and connectivity matrices. Identified any racks that did not meet GE standards and coordinated remediation plans Project managed the move logistics for each migration by define how each piece of equipment would be tagged, packaged, loaded and received off each of the trucks.

 Day-to-day technical leader of the corporate datacenter in Cincinnati, OH and disaster recovery/ hot site in Hebron, KY. Responsible for the design and implementation of data center solutions using infrastructure technologies that maximize system reliability and efficiency.  Managed rack and server installations, cabling, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc. for 1000+ servers at multiple data centers to meet corporate goals and objectives. Participated in the design and development of a 50+ million dollar next generation data center built in Dixie Terminal. Lead the technical implementation of the data center site migration from existing data center to new data center. Lead the vendor selection process to purchase a new remote console tool, Avocent’s DsView3, to manage the physical access to the data center and limit the non-data center staff to control data center security and continuality.  Responsible for the development of the policies & procedures used to manage the data center installations, server maintenance, hardware repair and any facility changes move/change/add required to support company needs.  Lead the implementation of Avocent ACS solution which provided superior administrative control and use of both AD and LDAP authentication for the network team; this was a huge win for the network team who were limited to a terminal server solution for serial access that only provide local authentication and difficult to manage.  Responsible for monitoring and management of the datacenter server hardware, software and maintenance contracts. Generated monthly data center metrics for hosting, infrastructure and management teams.  Coordinate the ongoing activities of the nightly staff to deliver on IT project work as well as ongoing incident response management for supported systems.
