I have a BS in Business Administration concentration in Sports Management, and I have a MS in Applied Psychology concentration in Sports Psychology. I am currently working full-time as a Mental Health Therapist and Sports Psychology Consultant. My role as a Mental Health Therapist is to provide ongoing psychological care to clients that are dealing with psychosis such as schizophrenia, paranoid schizophrenia, schizoaffective, major depression, generalized anxiety and adjustment disorder. I also have over 4 years working in the substance abuse industry as Substance Abuse Counselor. This is where my journey started from by my curiosity of how someone can become addict to drugs/alcohol. Losing my oldest brother, led me into this industry to learn about the brain and why people use drugs/alcohol? growing up in improvised neighborhoods, drugs/alcohol infested neighborhoods, limited resources and healthcare services. This is why I relate to this field?
