Executed the strategic goals of the highly successful Impetus program. This involved building a recruiting team, reaching out to thousands of students registered but not taking classes to funnel them into a First Year Experience cohort program. Engaging high school students in their environments to complete the registration and financial aid process.Me and two other students built the outreach strategy and the foundation for what the program is today. It is a simple concept that Chabot College neglected, this was peer engagement, and from registration to class completion, students fall through the cracks. After the outreach portion, the peer advisers used the “InReach” strategy, which helps save them from falling through the cracks. Helping them with issues such as navigating college resources, efficiently engaging with academic resources, and transitioning into a new semester to keep the momentum.

Aided in design of Passion and Purpose curriculum.Taught students in this class, first semester of this pilot program was a great success.

Built capacity for meaningful change. Recruited and activated hundreds of students to get behind the common cause of the Passion and Purpose initiative, which included another set of social justice initiatives.The coalitions we were able to form built the foundation to eventually find a permenant space for the program and hire staff to streamline the activities.
