Dr. Bobby Luke Email and Phone Number
A Fashion Designer, Fashion Filmmaker, Academic, Prac-ademic, and Social Innovation Designer. As an Indigenous Māori navigator and storyteller, my work is dedicated to centering Indigenous voices and perspectives. Having recently completed a Ph.D. in Design and Creative Technologies, my research celebrates and embraces epistemological approaches to understanding culture and applying them within design methodologies.I am deeply passionate about my culture and committed to using my practice to contextualize our ways of “knowing and being” within contemporary spaces and times. As Merata Mita once said, “If a film I make causes Māori to feel stronger about themselves, I am achieving something worthwhile for the revolution.” This resonates with my mission and fuels my pursuit of meaningful change.
