As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, I was part of a global hybrid remote team that fulfilled five nines uptime for our cloud native infrastructure. I lead initiatives for security consistency across our persistence layer and implementation of our CDN (Cloudflare, then Fastly), from ideation to code. I implemented the concept of Team Working Sessions, where we worked together to unsilo and disseminate tribal knowledge while getting our work done at the same time. The idea was to generate documentation synergistically with active workstreams. It had mixed results, but was a great learning tool. It really showed me how the biggest blocker to team synergy is figuring out a team's overall learning strategy and using it to the company's benefit.

This was interesting. The role sounded like traditional SRE / Infrastructure, but leaned into my experience aligning metrics and initiatives across verticals.I lead a Northstar initiative for recording quality for the C-Suite. Using Splunk, Tableau, Athena, Redshift, and an associated data suite, I created team based metrics aggregated by initiative with proper pipelines to disseminate and filter up appropriate observations. This guided Executive level decisions for company wide alignment-based initiatives.

Site Reliability Engineer II: Electric Boogaloo. Doing the same SRE things but more seniorly. I built and implemented an incident response protocol as well as automation via Slack bot.

I designed, implemented, and maintained an autonomous data pipeline for ingesting and processing GB worth of raw social media data, cross referencing this with anonymized insights, and creating user profiles and personas based off of the aggregated data.Fun things: The interaction and management logic for social media APIs (Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Vine, YouTube). Regression testing via Cucumber, test coverage with RSpecManaged our cloud infrastructure in AWS using Chef.
