About Bobby Melton

I am retired Records Clerk from the Camden, Tennessee Police Department whereI was employed for 38 years (May 1983-June 2020). During that time I also worked as a Part-time Reporter and Play by Play Announcerfor WRJB and WFWL Radio Stations in Camden, Tn. For local sports broadcasts.I continue to do that at this time.I also write articles and feature stories for the Camden Chronicle Newspaper.I'd like to work part-time with volunteer agencies and special events.I am an Inductee of the Benton County, Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.I am on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.I have volunteered in the past with organizations such as Red Cross; United Way;and American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. I am currently a member of theCamden Lions Club.In March 2022 I received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Benton County/Camden Chamber of Commerce.

On the program I interview various artists, performers and guests who bring various forms of entertainment to the Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center in Huntingdon, Tn. Past guests on the program include Hal Holbrook, Bob Eubanks, Bill Anderson, Ricky Skaggs, Dailey & Vincent, The Chuck Wagon Gang, Eddie Stubbs, Marty Stuart and Cherry Jones.
