Bobby is a hands on learner and strives for simplicity, quality, and functionality in his work. Working in his father's hardwood floor business at a young age fueled a lifelong passion for woodworking that continually informs his design process and aesthetic. Before pursuing an Industrial Design education at California College of the Arts he studied photography, worked for an adventure motorcycle company, manufacturing and assembling products, and apprenticed as a fine furniture builder. He currently interns with YzOak; a local and sustainable smart home startup in Oakland CA, where he is focusing on prototyping and developing brand language. Bobby has a passion for woodworking and furniture design, photography, and beautiful objects, but deep down he is a forest kid from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Now in his senior year Bobby is exploring how a backpack can autonomously care for its users. Come to the CCA ID senior show to find out the solution. If your design team is looking for a curious and eager addition with experience making things let’s have a conversation to see if we are a good fit.
