I was accepted into theatre my freshman year of high school. At first I got into the class and I wasn’t sure if theatre was my type of thing, I didn’t think it would be something I enjoy this much to this day! After two weeks of being in the class my teacher saw something in me that I hadn’t even seen in myself, he thought that I’d be perfect for light designing. He suggested I start with the Alice in wonderland play that we would put on for the school. It was a huge success! After that I was the light and sound designer for every show.After climbing my way up the musical theatre ladder I have developed many skills such as light design, sound design, prop design, set design, stage production, and light/sound equipment setup! Something that helped me out tremendously was having reduced classes my junior year! Finishing my science courses early helped make space for my passion. I would sometimes help my IT teachers fix Dell computers and Microsoft surface laptops for our school. My passion grew with me up until the very last day of school, with that being said my end goal is to be a software engineer for big name companies or a light/sound designer for too tier theatre’s!
