Directly accountable for the safety of 25 + employees across multiple job sites, reviewing and updating monthly safety plans with the project teams.Host job site safety meetings, conducting daily headcounts and tracking hours for bi-weekly payroll processing.Develop, roll out, and maintain safe equipment operating techniques, purchasing all safety equipment, including harnesses, high-visibility equipment and clothing, gloves, boots, safety glasses, and first aid supplies. Prepare and update contingency and recovery plans, conduct job site safety inspections to monitor compliance and identify issues, and follow up with subcontractor representatives to ensure proper disciplinary procedures. Lead deck turnover, including pour, column, core, wall, formwork, bracing, panels, scaffolding, verticals, and fly table inspections.Train employees in various safety procedures per the construction safety management plan, maintain guidelines per OHS and WorkSafeBC guidelines, and update job site and office manuals as needed. Record and compile data, update logs, monitor equipment, and schedule maintenance, ensuring TCP plans are created for each job where required. Facilitate accident, injury, and unsafe working condition investigations, communicate with injured workers and workers’ compensation claims, and plan return-to-work strategies.Serve as an outward-facing liaison on behalf of the company, working with WorkSafe BC representatives on-site and engaging with city officials to obtain permits for road, sidewalk, and parking closures.Utilize Procore and We the Safe QR operating systems to enter/maintain the Construction Safety Program.
