Helping to ensure environmental compliance and reduce risks for the company while ensuring we are taking care of environmental and health risks for our military families.

• Manage a team of 5 spill responders responsible for cleaning up oil/fuel spills anywhere on Fort Hood• Serve as the Environmental point of contact to coordinate cleanup of oil spills on the installation, which covers 217,000 square miles and includes nearly 4 million gallons of oil storage• Ensure cleanup and reporting of spill meets TCEQ and EPA requirements• Coordinate and participate in necessary spill response training and exercises• Maintain, update, and implement the Installation Response Plan (IRP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plan (SPCCP)• Maintain compliance with over 500 above ground storage tanks and 11 underground storage tanks which includes inspections, technical requirements, documentation and coordinating repair when not in compliance• Review, update and submit annual petroleum storage tank registrations to TCEQ making necessary technical amendments • Train hundreds of military personnel, government civilians and contractors on Spill Response/Cleanup and fuel tank requirements at monthly Environmental Compliance Officers course• Research and interpret local, state, and federal rules and regulations such as EPA, TCEQ, OSHA and NFPA and apply them for environmental compliance and human health and safety• Skill in reviewing rules, regulations, policy and compliance records, gathering and analyzing data and determining and developing solutions to problems

• Managed and maintained compliance with Fort Hood’s NESHAP and Refrigerant programs and the Title V Permit• Provided technical and managerial support to the Fort Hood Air Program Manager, Division Management, military and contract operations• Researched and interpreted local, state, and federal rules such as EPA, TCEQ, OSHA and NFPA and applied them for environmental compliance and human health and safety• Submitted required semi-annual compliance reports to EPA and TCEQ, managed compliance records database and reports• Developed and conducted NESHAP and Refrigerant training/refresher courses• Managed various compliance and research projects and coordinated personnel and resources to complete• Trained hundreds of military personnel, government civilians and contractors on air quality requirements monthly• Conducted assessments of Fort Hood permitted sources to identify deficiencies in program compliance and helped implement actions to obtain compliance• Skill in reviewing compliance records, gathering and analyzing data and determining course of action • Served as Environmental Division Safety Officer for 10,000+ people Earth Day festivities• Acted as Liaison between on-site contractors and government civilians advising on EHS issues • Evaluated airflow/ventilation issues at permitted paint booths for OSHA standards
