Manage Special mission Wing safety (SMW) training and mentorship program. Schedule training, train, advise, assist, and mentor (TAAM) the SMW in implementing aviation ground and air safety procedures; establishment of safety regulations and policies; incident investigations; risk mitigation; environmental considerations; and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, implementation, and enforcement. Provide Mobile Training Team (MTT) and Expeditionary Train, Advise, and Assistance (ETAA) in support of all subordinate Squadron Special Operations Advisor Teams (SOAT), as required, while maintaining coverage and requirements at the Wing level. The Trainer/Mentor will assist ASSF counterparts in meeting safety TAAM requirements during periodic Squadron RIP/TOA processes and provide required reports and documentation to the SMW Special Operations Advisor Group (SOAG) team lead. Subject matter expert in aviation ground and air safety procedures; safety regulations and policies; incident investigations; risk mitigation; environmental considerations; and SOP development. Coordinate with the SMW SOAG military mentors for required safety TAAM focus areas; support military mentor Lines of Effort (LOE). Provide assistance to SMW Squadrons during periodic RIP/TOAs. Provide all reporting and documentation requirements to the SMW SOAG team leader. Build and maintain positive relations and rapport with teammates, the client (US, NATO, and Troop Contributing Nation military forces), and Afghan counterparts.
