My job consist of Electrical Design for design/build projects which includes layout of lighting, power, distribution, fire alarm and infrastructure to accommodate tele/data/security systems. In addition to design task, job site meetings, site survey work and construction administration duties are performed. Electrical design task specialize in heavy commercial and industrial environments. I create Electrical Construction documents with AutoCAD software. I use Visual Software for photometric lighting calculations. I use Revit software to model electrical conduits in 3-D. I perform voltage drop and short circuit calculations. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to the NEC and will evaluate design drawings to ensure that they comply with code. Additional task include downloading projects to quote (spec/plan and design/build). I assist estimators and project managers with electrical design input needed to complete quote request, estimates, code issues and solving construction issues. On larger design/build quotes, I fill out quote request, send quote request to vendors, write the electrical scope of quote letters and coordinate with other trades. I also perform project management duties which include ordering materials, creating submittals, creating O&M manuals, creating typed panel directories for electrical panelboards and creating a phenolic tag list for electrical equipment. Most notable projects include:1. 800,000 SF Warehouse/Distribution facility for Ralph Lauren in Kernersville NC.2. New 2 story Lab renovation for Proctor & Gamble at the Brown Summit location.3. New Avgol Line 5 manufacturing addition in Mocksville North Carolina.

All Electrical Design task were Performed under Jimmy L. Peacock PE. Electrical Design primarily focused on commercial environments. Electrical Design including layout of lighting, power, power distribution including one-line diagrams, fire alarm and infrastructure for tele/data/security systems. All design work was performed using AutoCAD MEP software. In addition to design task, construction administration duties were performed such as checking shop drawing submittals, site visits with photo documented field reports, site meetings, answering RFI's, solving problems and dealing with construction issues.Notable Projects Include:1. Electrical Design work performed under Mark Arrington PE and Michael Harper PE. Design task consisted of layouts for Lighting, Fire Alarm, Power, Riser Diagrams, Details and Tele/Data/Security infrastruction. All design drawings were completed using AutoCad 2005 software. No construction administration duties were performed. The majority of the job task consisted of in office design except for occasional site visits and architect office coordination sessions/meetings.
