As a Fleet Manager I act as a single point of contact for the service contract. With a primary focus on implementing Machinery Management solutions and processes utilizing Solar’s InSight system capabilities. Primary responsibilities are the technical management and support of the customer’s Solar turbine fleet. This includes regular equipment assessments, failure analysis, fault assessment, optimization, maintenance, overhaul planning, repair, as well as operation and maintenance recommendations. The expected outcome is greatly enhanced equipment reliability and availability combined with optimized maintenance and technical support that will result in the lower cost of ownership for the customer.

This position is comprised of the level, set, preparation and operation of Solar or OEM gas turbine, diesel engine, driven equipment, microprocessor control, sub-assemblies, components and accessories. I conduct field performance acceptance test of gas turbines, compressors and generators. I perform tests to measure characteristics of packaged systems, controls, sub-assemblies and components while working from Solar, customer and vendor drawings, specifications, operational procedures, oral instructions, and initializing proper trouble shooting methods. I ensure safety practices are utilized during all operations. I connect and operate computerized data acquisition systems to observe record and review test data. I operate systems that calculate operational parameters such as horsepower, pressure ratios, fuel flow, specific fuel consumption, oil flow, oil consumption, electrical functions, power factors and other parameters related to the acceptability of the unit under test. I conduct vibration surveys and perform trim balance of components, utilizing real time vibration analyzers, trim balance analyzers, and vibration data acquisition. Vibration analysis, emissions, and performance standards were documented utilizing various Windows operating systems. The job role involves trouble shooting turbines and all components for malfunctions. Then made decisions whether to repair onsite, or send into overhaul. I have to plan, schedule, and complete the tasks and then compile reports annotating what actions were made and then submit to the customer and to upper management. Working as a FSR I would man a remote site during the construction of the site. The role required direct supervision of personnel and it entailed acting as a Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Software, and Commissioning Engineer. I am the first point of contact for all construction fields and trades during the construction phase.
