Working with finance department staff to manage all aspects of grant management, payroll, audit, accounts receivable and accounts payable. In the first four months in the position we caught up 4 months of billing and payables, cleaned up the general ledger, strengthened and streamlined the finance department procedures. This includes creating an indirect cost allocation plan, update the finance policies and procedures manual, setting up and implementing a new grant accounting software package, as well as an online time reporting software. We will have the audit completed in 2 months rather than the usual 12 months.
