Serve as Assistant to Town Manager. Currently managing Redevelopment RFP for 30-acre Anchor Mill site in downtown Huntersville.Manage special projects from Manager’s Office. Work includes departments: Human Resources, Finance, Economic Development, Parks & Recreation, Planning, Transportation and Engineering & Public Works. As such, act as webmaster, issue press releases, distribute information to media; manage social media accounts for Facebook and Twitter; post news and updates on town web-site and various social media pages; Create internal and external communications strategies and serve as project-specific PIO as needed. Through increased focus on citizen engagement, created and facilitate Huntersville 101, the town’s annual civic education course (9 weeks) for residents. Prepare regular reports on department activities and projects to Town Board and town email lists. Coordinate annual Town Board Planning Retreat logistics and agenda between board and department heads among other activities.Otherwise, Problem Solver and Community Advocate.

Served as Mentoring Program Coordinator with Triad Economic Development Corporation (based in High Point, NC) through research assistantship with UNCG's Center for Youth, Family & Community Partnerships. Conducted primary research to develop a mentoring program and recruited volunteer mentors to pair with adult graduates of a 10-week entrepreneurship training development course. Met with community, civic, and church leaders to create awareness of the mentoring program and obtain leads for mentoring prospects. Attended meetings, and assisted with other programs and services of the TEDC, including affordable housing and job skills for teens. Developed marketing materials including organizational brochures, programs, and promotional fliers for all supported programs. Maintained records and wrote monthly activity reports to fulfill grant reporting and monitoring requirements. Coordinated public policy research with professors and other graduate assistants, oversaw student evaluations of classes taught in political science department. Produced variety of sports-themed talk shows at WFNZ Radio in Charlotte (CBS Radio / Infinity Broadcasting.) Planned and coordinated shows with on-air talent, booked guests for interviews, created show promos, performed show-related research, handled listener-phone calls, coordinated remotes and completed various other production tasks.
