updated 11/2024I have just begun a research position at AI Sweden! I'm continuing my research in differentially private machine learning, using control theory to identify systemic vulnerabilities, and am leading a project to advance realism of honeypots with AI. updated 07/2024I work as a mathematician/data scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I am currently leading a project to develop a novel approach to differentially private machine learning. Recently I served as group leader of the Cybersecurity Research Group and PI-ed a ~$3M/yr project supporting the US Navy by delivering large scale experiments to test cybersecurity tools. I also led development of a now-ongoing effort in vehicle security including a novel reverse engineering and intrusion detection algorithms/technology on controller area networks. I have been at ORNL since 2012, first as a postdoc, transitioning to a staff scientist is 2013. I have a PhD from Purdue University, completed August of 2012. I studied pure mathematics and focused on an intersection of Complex Analysis and Operator Theory.
