About Bobby Dee
Director of Cinevisionary Ltd, Online courses and workshops for film creatives.Motion Graphics Designer and Video Director.I have many years motion graphics experience working for brands, corporate clients and start-ups in app development, fin-tech, green-tech and advertising. I work predominantly in After Effects (with additional plugins such as the Trapcode Suite), Illustrator, Photoshop and Cinema 4D for 3D elements. Recently I've been undertaking extensive research into the possibilities of AI use in both motion graphics and filmmaking.I worked at Smoke & Mirrors, one of the top VFX boutiques in Soho, as the in-house editor - on both client work and internal reels. Taking an opportunity to work abroad I moved to Amsterdam where I worked for the European office of ADK, one of Japan's top ad agencies, as an AV Director, creating all in-house video production including creating motion graphics, virals and site specific content for clients such as Puma, Sony, The Dutch National Ballet and the Sci-Fi Channel. Since returning to the UK in 2008 I have been self employed - focusing on creating motion graphic and video work. Clients have included Marriott, Liverpool Victoria, Amazon, The Brighton Festival, Vice, The i360, Laura Ashley, Berghaus, Jane Norman, Kinetica, Dell, Triumph, LG, Philips, Speedo, Barclays, Tesco, The National Gallery, Berghaus and Laura Ashley. In addition to motion graphics I am also a horror writer/director, focusing on psychological horror. My latest short, The Devil’s Harvest, has featured in ten international festivals winning awards such as Best Director and Best Horror. My screenplay, Unearthly Delights, has received a ‘recommended’ score from Industrial Scripts and a ‘Consider’ from WeScreenplay. I’m currently developing a micro budget supernatural thriller feature, Genesis - as well as several other ideas at different stages of development. I also lecture part time, leading the BA (Hons) Directing and Academic pathways at Raindance Film School.I have a Masters in Filmmaking (Dist) and BA (Hons) in Film Studies and I'm currently putting together a research proposal for a practice-led filmmaking PhD.
