As I look back on my media production career – which has spanned a variety of audio/video roles in non-profit and for-profit organizations, I recognize that the common thread that runs through my experiences is a passion for pushing the limits of creativity. In fact, not a day goes by where I don’t ask myself (and team), “what can we do to take our work to a new level?”. From directing short films to today running video production for one of the largest non-denomination churches in the country, I love to find new angles for live streaming, challenge the processes my team uses and bring a fast-paced/dynamic energy to all productions. Continuously pushing boundaries is not only fulfilling for me personally, but it is to my audience as well. To date, my content reaches up to 40K people for live streams, has attracted thousands of followers across social media platforms and achieves up to 144K views per week. Underlying my push for reaching new creative heights is a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Feedback is a gift, and I regularly seek it to elevate my performance. I also spend time learning about my craft and survey the landscape routinely for the “next thing”. I do not expect perfection, which is unattainable, but great things certainly happen en route to that ideal.None of this is possible without a talented and motivated team. In my line of work, I collaborate with many people – some direct reports, some volunteers. Regardless, I enjoy learning about everyone’s talents and ambitions so that I can create a fulfilling work experience. Today I work with over 140 volunteers, each with unique talents. It is my job to figure out these capabilities and put individuals in the best possible position to succeed.
