My purpose is to drive education and meaningful careers that honor the agency of people, communities, and organizations through powerful advocacy, storytelling, partnership, and inspiring philanthropy. A multi-sector, executive leader with corporate, government, and nonprofit leadership experience, I bring people together with purpose focused on impact of investments and building an organization’s reputation. Experienced at international, national, and local workforce, education and entertainment organizations, I served as senior executive at Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), while it was New England's largest community college and recognized as America's 2-year College of the Year (Education Dive). Served as Executive Director of CCRI Foundation, the first-time, award-winning community college foundation winner, for Board Leadership by the national Assoc. of Governing Boards for Universities and Colleges (AGB), and raised more than $22 million supporting thousands of students during my tenure. Previously directed global philanthropy and social impact for Hasbro, Inc., recognized as #1 CSR in Consumer Items Industry by Corporate Citizens and #1 for Consumer Discretionary by Civic 50 and past executive leader at the national workforce powerhouse, Year Up. Also served two terms on Providence’s school board, one of the country’s 50 largest school districts. Interests and expertise: consulting and coaching, students’ success and educational equity, political advocacy and leadership, and public policy— especially for first-generation, low-income, and historically minoritized and marginalized students; workforce and career development; growing ecosystems of support; strategic planning; executive leadership; sharing stories to inspire investment, fundraising and philanthropy; corporate and community relations; Board and volunteer management; talent and human capital; mentoring and coaching; and creative marketing, communications, and storytelling that drives stakeholders’ action and impact.
