Oversee and manage daily production activities of assembly logistics and warehouse operations.

⏩ Staff Directed: 70 Employees | Oversight: 2 Assembly Lines & Shipping Dock Continuously improving the assembly efficiency of 2 product lines during the 2nd shift, I monitor and minimize overtime (OT), scrap, material waste, and production downtime. I work closely with internal leadership, suppliers, quality teams, and engineering experts to maintain the highest levels of efficiency, quality, profitability, and staff performance. Leveraging Kronos workforce management software, I optimize the hourly production rate, material usage, and employee schedules. I expertly manage all personnel and safety/emergency issues while overseeing machining, logistics, and the development of window fabrications. Perhaps more importantly, I champion continuous improvement processes.DELIVERED RESULTS:► Increasing production by 89%, bringing quantity of products assembled from 190 to 360+ per 8-hour shift.► Boosting manufactured-on-time (MOT) rates from 75% to 96% by implementing lean methodologies and 5S workplace organization method.► Reducing TAKT time from 125 seconds to 79, shrinking the average time between unit production to better match the rate of customer demand. ► Decreasing waste from 30% down to <2%, reducing defects to <.01%, increasing profits 30%, and lowering staff exhaustions rates by introducing lean manufacturing techniques.► Saving 2 labor hours per shift after implementing Point of Use (POU) system, which detected solvable weaknesses in supply chain deliveries.► Raising the employee retention rate from 30% to 95%, boosting morale by providing employees with coaching, encouragement, reliable support, and productivity incentives.► Achieving 0 accidents/injuries for 2 consecutive years after starting pre-shift group stretching exercises and body warm-ups. Maintaining 100% compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

⏩ Staff Directed: 150 Employees | Oversight: Fabrication Assembly, Welding, Logistics, Maintenance, CNC Shop, & Paint LineSeamlessly managing plant operations, I oversaw employee payroll, discipline, and performance reviews. I provided constant positive reinforcement and consistent daily warm-up/training exercises. While directing preventative maintenance activities, I optimized LEED ratings and increased building intelligence quotient (BIQ). I managed computer numerical control (CNC) machining and controlled a million-dollar supply budget. While doing so, I served as Captain of the Plant Emergency Response Team, and I introduced standard operating procedures (SOPs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).DELIVERED RESULTS:► Decreasing finished product defects from 184 per unit to <.02, reducing warranty claims by 50%, and enabling 100% of fabrications to achieve first pass yield (FPY). ► Boosting overall throughput by 50%, increasing MOT rate from 40% to 96%, and decreasing overall waste 50%. ► Winning the 5-Year Diamond Gold Pin Award from the company’s President in recognition of exceptional performance. Earning a promotion from the initial Line Manager position in just 4 years.TEAM MOTIVATION & SAFETY:► Bringing annual recordable accidents/injuries from 6 to 0 and realizing 340 days without the need for First Aid while leading the company’s Employee Safety Council. ► Driving employee passion for excellence by educating them on the innovative equipment designs, as well as the designers who conceptualized them; instilling a strong sense of personal pride in their work.► Significantly improving employee accountability by instituting a new policy that increased assembler ownership of work. ► Ensuring stringent product quality requirements and company standards were met by implementing statistical process controls and conducting regular performance evaluations.
