Designed aeration blower systems and associated control strategies for waste water treatment processes based on compressible fluid mechanics and thermodynamics in order to maximize blower and process efficiency. Provided technical training on state of the art high speed turbo technology to various consulting engineering firms nation-wide, internal sales personnel as well as at several industry conferences. Collaborated with clients to resolve conflicting process requirements, enabling them to define a system that was both possible and practical. Used design engineering to modify initial solution, post-bid, to overcome realized shortcomings from evolving products. Successfully managed over thirty manufacturers' representatives from eight separate firms covering one third of the United States. Closed approximately 60% of the company's municipal sales ($12M) over a two year period by establishing relationships built on technical competence, a strong work ethic and integrity. Evaluated client specifications, chose appropriate equipment, designed and presented solution to plants and consulting engineers, built and priced proposals, and negotiated contract terms and conditions post-sale.

Designed the apparatus and procedure to model a blow molded part for a state of the art solar renewable energy product in order to gain knowledge for the company to manufacture the part in house. Designed and executed an experiment to find the Modulus of Elasticity and Compressive Yield Strength of various materials used in the assembly of the product. This data was used to complete design models to weather-proof the solar system.

Worked in Motor R&D department to design, build, and test various drilling motors including an innovative space saving 800 hp motor. Resolved initial design flaws by designing and building motor cooling system. Responsible for ordering all cooling system parts within budget. Tested motors to evaluate and document performance characteristics such as vibration, temperature and power. Performed economic analysis to estimate production costs for small scale drilling motors including raw materials and labor costs to machine, assemble and test the motors. As a member of the drafting department, created, reviewed and updated over 500 electronic drawings for drilling motors, brakes and generators in a single summer. Drawings were created from paper based drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor. On average, completed assignments in less than half of the time assigned.

Designed, drafted, machined, and built an inverted pendulum to be used in a dynamics and vibrations class at Rice. Accomplished design objectives in 25% of budgeted time. Designed and built remote-controlled "fish finder" submarine to apply the concepts of neutral buoyancy, material science, fluid mechanics, dynamics and vibrations and project budgeting. Met project budget constraints through use of off the shelf PVC piping and discarded PC parts.
