Web DeveloperMci Worldcom Jul 2000 - Jul 2004My second job with MCI Worldcom was as a web developer for the company's wholesale division. Our team of 6 worked on the Globe, an Intranet website essential to providing marketing messaging, materials, and product documentation for a wholesale organization. I was responsible for coding and developing the Globe in HTML, Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), and VBScript and managing the Microsoft SQL database. We created secure methods for team members to access the website. I was let go not long after MCI Worldcom filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the largest in the United States at that time.

Local Area Network AdministratorMci Worldcom Apr 1999 - Jul 2000My first job in Atlanta was at a newly constructed call center in Alpharetta, Georgia, selling MCI long-distance service for landlines. I was part of a team responsible for maintaining the LAN that supported over 1,000 users on site. My responsibilities included configuring users' accounts, troubleshooting user issues, and coordinating support projects that affected our center. With my web design background, I was also responsible for maintaining the Microsoft web server and designing the call center's intranet website, which was used to communicate with call center employees.

Web DesignerState Of Florida Aug 1998 - Mar 1999UsThe World Wide Web was only a few years old, and I had the opportunity to have a paid internship for an organization within Florida State University supporting the State of Florida in transitioning information from paper to the Internet. I did UX designer work for the website OSPREY, a state-permitting application developed for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. I coordinated with the web development team to align the front-end with back-end processes.My proudest achievement was developing an interactive map of Florida counties, which lived on after the State of Florida consolidated our work under the MyFlorida.com website.
