While at Pan Am Sat/Intelsat I worked in the Technical Operations Center (TOC). As a Shift Leader, it was my responsibility to manage the work load to ensure a quality signal leaving the Earth Station for all ad hoc and full time services including BBC, FOX NEWS, CBS, ABC, ESPN, UFC, The Golf Channel, The Speed Channel and many others. Answering phone calls for customer queries and service orders was a regular part of the shift work. I managed daily video feeds for video transmission across the globe. I worked with RF signals, maintained calibration certificates for technical test equipment, and wrote trouble tickets for daily and monthly reports. Conference calls were a regular part of the Intelsat video operations day as scheduled maintenance occurred to fiber lines and satellite paths. Customer service was a top focus regardless of the client; ad hoc and full time services were given great attention to detail. I was also responsible for installing new services which included everything from rack mounting the gear, to making and running the necessary cables, and testing the circuit to ensure quality signal levels reaching the satellite or fiber outputs.

I worked with other professional producers and directors from NBA, MLB, NFL, WNBA, NCAA, MLS, ABA and The Best Damn Sports Show Period. During my time at Mira Mobile Television, I helped them unveil a two brand new High Definition mobile studio production trucks. I worked under the serious time constraints of live TV broadcasting for major sporting events. I learned how to manage people and difficult situations. My ability to show quick reactions to trouble shooting allowed me to be proficient for my customers. I was successful in every effort to efficiently maintain a mobile production unit from phones, cameras, intercoms, and switchers to audio rooms, processing amplifiers, patch bays, and signal flow to the cable head end distribution centers.

I worked in retail sales for Franciscan Oakville Estates. I was often in charge of Wine Club tasting allowing a more personal and intimate experience for the customer. Being knowledgeable about the wine making process and F.O.E.'s style of wines allowed me the opportunity to sell more wine than being on the regular tasting room floor.

I worked every aspect of the AP Tech clean room, including washing and storage to assembly, testing, packaging, and shipping. I put their storage system in place and organized parts by part number. Maintaining their calibration needs provided tools and cost saving effectiveness that helped progress my career later in television broadcasting services.
