While working at Marsden Services L.L.C., I drastically evolved both my leadership skills, as well as my communication skills. Utilizing my critical thinking skills, I learned to compartmentalize and approach problems with the understanding of what was at stake, for not only me and my colleagues, but my team as well. This lead to an approach in leadership with a focus on the allocation of time, energy, as well as resources in an effort to develop a seamless workflow during production throughout the warehouse. This emphasis on efficiency was made with the idea in mind to save money for the company, as well as to maintain a positive and rewarding work experience for the rest of the employees. In addition to that, due to the work environment being fertile ground for many conflict-resolution situations to occur, I inevitably found myself in many learning opportunities for growth when it came to my pre-existing interpersonal skills, all of which were immensely eye-opening as well. On a personal note, the experience taught me the importance of language, as well as improved my sense of cultural awareness more than I could have ever imagined. However, the most value-able takeaway of all was the insight it helped provide in regard to my strengths and weaknesses as an individual. Both in the workplace, as well as in my personal life.
