Bobby Springsteen has been in the music industry since he was 12 years old when he was signed to Chrysalis Records as a recording artist after winning a number of talent searches and Amateur Night at The Apollo Theatre. Although his recording career was stifled, Bobby continued his musical journey as a songwriter, producing tracks and as a DJ. Years later, Bobby became an intern/driver for Andre Harrell, then-president of Uptown Records. With his mentor, Bobby moved to Motown Records where he became an A&R. While at Motown, he creatively contributed to the sales of more than 5 million records by various artists. Bobby was instrumental as the A&R for boy band sensation 98 Degrees’ self-titled, debut certified-gold album and its gold single. Bobby was also Senior Director of A&R at Bad Boy Entertainment. Bobby creatively contributed to several multi-platinum and platinum albums including the late B.I.G.'s ‘Born Again’, Carl Thomas’ ‘Emotional’, Faith’s ‘Faithfully’, and Black Rob’s ‘Life-story’. He co-wrote Faith’s “I Love You” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s R&B Singles Chart and No. 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart. He also was the A&R on Shyne’s self-titled, platinum debut album as well as his certified-gold sophomore album ‘Godfather Buried Alive.’Additionally, Bobby served Vice President of A&R for Edmonds Record Group and NuAmerica/Interscope, a Babyface joint venture, contributing to Robin Thicke’s debut LP and instrumental in the music supervision and soundtrack for the movie “Honey.” Bobby has consulted with publishing companies and has been instrumental in developing Nottinghill Publishing and Royalty Network’s urban catalogue.An entrepreneur at heart, Bobby launched his own sync license agency, Dreamwired, representing artists, producers, songwriters, and musicians.
