Manages the operational performance of the biggest closed-door pharmacy in Colorado with over 200 facilities in CO, WY and NM. Leads team of over 25 pharmacists. Collaborates with compliance to ensure state and federal regulations are met. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and restructure costly processes (ex. tackling controlled medications ordering/delivery process). Partners with pharmacy leaders to implement standardized processes and improve efficiency (ex. creating training manuals). Implements enterprise-wide standard processes and utilize knowledge in supply chain management to implement new delivery methods and programs to drive business to CVS and away from competitors (ex. CVS’s backup pharmacy program).

Manages a team of more than 25 pharmacy interns and technicians. Performs as pharmacist in one of the highest volume 24 hour stores in the region. Acts as resource to pharmacy students and staff members for proper billing and insurance claims processing. Monitors dispensing patterns and inventory levels to meet demand and minimize cost to the pharmacy. Responsible for daily purchasing orders, meeting sales targets and adhering to quarterly/annual budgets.

Working as an advisor to the CEO when evaluating new sales opportunities and market expansion. Focussing on plans to increase medication reviews performed by pharmacies for Medicare patients. Working on ways to streamline billing and maximize profitability while minimizing costs for the more than 11,000 independent pharmacies in the network. Overseeing the implementation of an analytics solution which allows payers to save money by analyzing thousands of patient records.Development of ScopiaRx's proprietary clinical database to enable pharmacist to improve the accuracy and completion time when performing therapy management and reduce the overall cost to the pharmacy. Responsible for the clinical evaluation and validation of ScopiaRx’s innovative polypharmacy applications. Training and leading a team of pharmacists and physicians in the process of clinical database development. Integration with the customer support team by providing the technical training in drug safety. Collaboration with software engineers to improve patient experience and satisfaction from using ScopiaRx’s medication safety platform.

Executed day-to-day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines. Checked for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders. Checked for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling. Followed all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. Maintained and observed proper operation of automated dispensing systems, ensured daily testing and calibration of the equipment is completed.

Providing advice on the use of medications by individuals for new healthcare ventures. Providing clinical recommendations for reducing the risk/cost of dangerous medication side effects. Focus on improving the use of medications in the community by consulting on the developing innovative healthcare solutions.

Serving as a key person responsible for planning, budgeting and implementation of Xavier’s signature business idea competition – Xavier Launch a Business (XLAB). Working directly with all departments across campus from Marketing and PR to Investor relations and Event planning to secure funding for the program, minimize cost and fully utilize available resources to meet the demands of the program.
