Grand River Solutions, Inc. is a service provider dedicated to helping campuses and communities develop effective, practical and sustainable responses to equity issues, including Title IX, Title VII, VAWA, and Clery Act compliance. We provide a broad range of consulting and software services to support and assist an institution achieve its equity goals. Our services include conducting investigations, hearings, and appeals; formal and informal resolution; training; process and policy assessment; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training and consulting; mentoring/coaching and more.

• Serves as primary investigator into allegations of sexual misconduct; conducts interviews, gathers information, compiles documentation, analyzes evidence, creates comprehensive reports documenting findings, and advises leadership on potential risk exposure• Consistently effectuates thorough and efficient investigations into complaints involving complex allegations of sexual misconduct, relationship violence, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, gender discrimination, and stalking via formal and informal means• Develops investigative plans for complaints in accordance with university policy and recognized standards in the employment and compliance arenas• Applies advanced analytic skills to produce expertly written concise, comprehensive, impartial, evidence-based reports• Manages ongoing communication to involved parties in addition to supervisor, campus administrators, and other stakeholders • Develops and facilitates prevention and response training programs, reaching students, faculty, and staff•Advocates for improvements in the investigative process by collaborating and engaging in discussions with colleagues in order to improve procedures, protocols, and overall efficiency• Prepares and presents weekly updates of active cases to the Title IX Coordinator • Presents investigative report for final adjudication• Coordinates with departments and individuals to facilitate timely investigations, interim measures, and accommodations for all involved parties• Authors and adjusts internal processes, protocols, rubrics, training materials, and other documents• Creates and maintains accurate records of all reports in case management system (Maxient), including comprehensive documentation of investigation materials and correspondence• Mines and analyzes data for office reports, statistics, benchmarking assessment, and other informational requests • Continually identifies and integrates best practices regarding administrative investigations

Serves as primary investigator for allegations of interpersonal and sexual violence involving students.Conduct unbiased interviews with impacted and responding parties, as well as pertinent witnesses, to determine case facts and gather information surrounding a complaint. Closely collaborate with Deputy Title IX Coordinator to determine appropriate interim measures and accommodations to ensure campus safety. Facilitate training and presentations to disseminate education surrounding Title IX guidance, awareness, and issues.

Conducted prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into allegations of sex discrimination including sex and gender based violence, sex or gender based harassment, dating and domestic violence, stalking, and related retaliation as reported to the Title IX Coordinator.Served as primary investigator for separation level cases of individual students and registered organizations ensuring an investigation that is fair and neutral.Adjudicated non-separation level code violations of individual students and registered organizations in administrative hearings and coordinate panel hearings as requested by the respondent.Assigned sanctions, and provide guidance on appropriate sanctions as assigned by panel hearings, in accordance with the Dalton State College Student Code of Conduct.Oversaw sanction completion and partner with community agencies and offices to administer various sanctions and educational programs.Reviewed and updated the Dalton State College Student Code of Conduct to ensure compliance with University System rules, regulations, laws, policies and procedures and ensured campus constituencies were apprised of such updates.Served as a member of the Dalton State CARE Team (Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation), to provide a student conduct viewpoint for various issues and work with students to provide resources to ensure their success.Facilitated and administered alcohol and drug education programs for students including Haven and AlcoholEDU.
