Manage, lead, and direct the information technology software, content creation, and system architecture team for the largest energy and home services retailer in North America (six million customers in the U.S. and Canada). Supervise a top-performing and culturally diverse group of eight software development professionals based in Houston, TX, Toronto, ON, and Sri Lanka building the company’s e-Commerce platform to better service and upsell new and existing customers. Serve as the primary liaison to third-party developers and programmers critical to executing the team’s content production, delivery, and core infrastructure strategy.Allocate $3M in capital earmarked for platform and technology acquisitions, talent development, and system deployments. Facilitate, prioritize, and execute multiple projects at once and on time through constant communication and status updates with personnel to maintain focus and motivation. Interface with business partners to align front office requirements with the company’s internal software and technological capabilities.Highlighted Responsibilities• Responsible for the enhancement, maintenance, and day-to-day function of Direct Energy’s enterprise server applications that include the successful rollout of Microsoft SharePoint 2010.• Establish performance milestones and monitor performance metrics to hold the development team accountable. Consistently received excellent ratings in completing objectives on-time and at budget.• Build and sustain valuable vendor relationships with Navantis, Square One, The Box, and Compuware to integrate complex third party applications to the company’s overall technology architecture. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder to ensure that the high volume of online customer purchases and transactions are handled and completed to the business’ satisfaction.
