The IT organization had a total budget over $60 million with a staff size over 600 employees. Mr. Carroll instituted a strategic vision for the organization while ensuring compliance in the ever-changing regulatory environment. Participated in successful IPO of University of Phoenix Online in 2001.

Bob was responsible for the Systems Engineering staff throughout North America and the associated sales of database development and management systems. Informix Software grew from $250 million to $1 billion in revenue while his responsibilities grew steadily from Systems Engineer to District Manager, Regional Director and eventually Director for North America. Bob developed engineer career paths, sales training programs, and customer sales programs. The organization consisted of 110 engineers and managers through the United States and Canada.
