1 of 2 figurehead members of the Diperk Service team in support of warranty, maintenance and technical support for all Perkins Gas and Diesel engines sold in the UK. A unique customer facing role in which I am responsible for the daily tasking of 12 field service engineers whilst also quoting for remedial work, managing customer contracts and service visits, invoicing of all service work carried out and providing live technical assistance for Perkins engine users both home and abroad.

East Midlands

Responsible for the extensive inspection of industrial combustion plant and equipment for safety and efficiency improvements before authoring reports, risk assessments, method statements and recommendations for improvement. I was also responsible for autonomously performing a broad scope of Engineering activities including design and testing of new equipment, combustion consultation, commissioning, sales and generating quotations. The survey role required me to operate in confined spaces, at heights, in areas of increased risk of explosion plus other severe hazards on Petrochemical and Refinery sites whilst inspecting industrial combustion equipment and high pressure systems. Additional engineering duties included fault finding and the optimisation of customers’ existing facilities plus the installation and commissioning of new equipment as part of an Aftermarket Team.

Managed and led 2 teams totalling 16 people responsible for the service, installation, testing, training, warranty and repair of market leading Air Traffic Control radio systems in use in 194 countries worldwide. Identified and improved department inefficiencies and co-operation problems resulting in more cost efficient utilisation of company assets, costly engineer time on sites measurably reduced.

Raf Brize Norton - Oxfordshire

Leading and managing a 2-shift, 28-strong multi skilled engineering team to support scheduled maintenance and repair of a fleet of 8 Royal Air Force C17 Globemaster heavy lift aircraft, operating in a fast-paced, high profile environment and working alongside Boeing technical specialists. • Developed and integrated new lean processes and work structures to reduce maintenance time by 33% whilst maintaining the current maintenance schedule.• Heavily involved in contract negotiations with Boeing to ensure contractors worked in compliance with RAF/MAA orders and regulations.• Quality & Compliance lead• Carried out hands-on maintenance and independent safety inspections prior to aircraft release to service, ensuring safety standards under tight deadlines whilst consistently achieving excellent audit results.• Subject matter expert in the planning, survey and design of a £6 million upgrade of the major maintenance facility at RAF Brize Norton allowing it to support the introduction of the Airbus A400M into RAF service, improving business output and efficiency.

Raf Centre Of Aviation Medicine - Raf Henlow, Bedfordshire

Led, managed and mentored a team of 7 Specialist Engineers accountable for the final inspection, certification and maintenance of bespoke equipment used in altitude testing and research into Human Performance at the RAF Centre of Aviation Medicine (RAFCAM). • Ensured critical maintenance and inspection of: Hypobaric and Hyperbaric chambers, high pressure and vacuum vessels, industrial rated high capacity electric driven pumps, PLCs, life support systems (oxygen control & supply) and all associated IT systems.• Developed, designed and built 3 unique and world first multi crew Hypoxia trainers saving 80% of budgeted cost, utilising RAF assets, project management techniques, efficient risk management and clever procurement. • Advised Fraser Nash, safety consultants, in the authoring of a comprehensive safety study of the site over 12 months, giving RAFCAM an internationally recognised safety operating certificate.

Raf Wittering - Cambridgeshire

Led and mentored team of 5 instructors responsible for the research, design and delivery of Mechanical Engineering training programmes to over 150 military personnel and civilian students a year enabling them to maintain the McDonnell Douglas Harrier Jump Jet aircraft. • Designed and delivered courses in system knowledge, fault diagnosis, engineering documentation, essential safety training and gas turbine engine running procedures, as well as LEAN awareness and processes.
